On a related note, we are excited to announce we will be proceeding to the final round of the competition and performing at The Opera House on June 3rd!!! More details to come soon but for now save the date in your calendar.

In internet news, the remix by Box of Wolves for the title track on our Future Nights album was released this past week to rave reviews and even made its way to the Hype Machine! Needless to say we are thrilled! If you enjoy it please pass it on to your friends and share it around the internet. And if you haven’t already had a listen check it out:

Speaking of shows…we have another one coming up on April 20th. It will be at The Mod Club and we will be selling tickets in advance. Tab is really excited. I’ll let you know more details SOON!

Despite not playing a lot of shows recently we have some new material, as well as some rehashing of existing material, in the works! I’m excited about some of the stuff going on and think you will too but for now…it’s a secret.

Website-keeping aside, although we haven’t been playing a lot of shows in the past *gasp* three *end-gasp* months there has been some calculated activity going on with the band. First of all, as you may know Sean departed from the band after our previous show in October however in December we fortunately found our new drummer Rodrigo! We’ve been busy practicing away (except over Xmas…some of us went home for the holidays) and should be ready to perform again in a month or so. Needless to say it will be as soon as possible because we can’t wait!

We hope your new year has been a pleasure so far and if you are the kind of person that reads lists of things about last year you should check out the list of Best of 2011 by Snob’s Music which includes a generous mention of our album Future Nights which was reviewed back in July.

Finally you should check out the remix I put together for the new Box of Wolves single Hearts. If you haven’t heard of Box of Wolves definitely make an effort as it is the brainchild of our good friend Gabriel who you may know from all of the fantastic artwork and videos he has created for Sexy Mathematics over the years.

Friday September 9th we have one last performance at Duffy’s in Toronto before we hibernate for a few weeks while Tab discovers Europe. We do hope to see you there; especially if we have not yet had the opportunity to be graced by your presence.

In addition to the good vibes we’ve been getting on this side of the country we were also pleased to be featured back at home in Saskatoon’s Ominocity with an interview I did in July. Shortly thereafter we followed up with a fantastic show hosted by Gold Soundz last Thursday.

This Friday I am personally super excited to be performing at Lee’s Palace! Just like in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World!

On a final note have a listen to the new Courtship EP by Box of Wolves, the brainchild of Gabriel Akinrinmade, whose talent extends beyond the phenomenal album covers he has provided us over the years.

In other news we have a show scheduled for August 4th that we’d like to attend. So please come and bring a friend or two…definitely not three…but four or greater should be fine.

Finally if you are some sort of writer for a public medium that prints words, or know someone who is, and are interested in reviewing/featuring our album please contact me. I don’t care if you write for a high-school newspaper…or even something worse like a college newspaper…send me an email and, if you are l3git I will totally send you free CDs and a letter or something…or whatever you want…but be reasonable.
