Greetings from Toronto!

January 9, 2011

Sitting in the Toronto airport about to embark on a flight to Vancouver, BC for a couple weeks I thought this would be an opportune time to write an update regarding what has been transpiring during the past couple months for Sexy Mathematics.

First of all back in November (if you have been following) you will recall I moved to Toronto. Before I left however a brand new CD was recorded and I have busy working on getting the final touches wrapped up. It will be named Future Nights and is set to be released sometime (likely around the summer) in 2011. If you know anyone who is or has been in the band you might be able to have a listen ahead of time. Aside from finishing the CD I have also been lucky to find some talented musicians to work with since moving to Toronto. Unfortunately we are still officially looking for a drummer so if anyone knows anyone please have them contact me.

In addition to Sexy Mathematics I have also joined another, as of yet unnamed, musical project in Toronto. I will provide more details once they get ironed out.

You may also recall these past few months included Xmas and New Years. For Xmas I spent two weeks back in Saskatoon and was pleased to be busy entertained by friends and family. I also had a chance to take part in another year of the fantastic Band Swap at Amigo’s. If you’ve never been make it a priority next year. For New Years I returned to Toronto and ended up spending it with some redditors…one of which ended up falling through a glass window that night.

The coming weeks will hopefully see the (near) completion of the Future Nights CD and some live performances in Toronto with one of my bands. For now I’m off to board my plane…
