Back and Gone

June 30, 2010

Thank you very much to everyone who came out to see us on our first Eastern Canadian tour! I can’t wait until we are famous enough to tell your kids about when you saw us playing to a dozen people in a bar.

In the meantime I encourage you to check out this reasonably raving review by i(heart)music about our Integration EP.

If you are going to be in Saskatoon you will also have several opportunities to see us live in the near future:

Finally we also have some brand new T-shirts printed so be sure to get yours at our next show! Eventually I will post some pics and you will be able to purchase them via the web as well so stay tuned.

I have been waiting to do this for a while and now there are enough shows finalized to make it worth while. You can check out Sexy Mathematics across three of Canada’s finer provinces this June:

Also we are looking for some openers so if you are in or know of any bands interested in playing please have them email us: contact@sexymathematics.com

Ad Infinitum

April 30, 2010

Wow I’ve been trying to organize an eastern tour to Montreal and back for Sexy Mathematics and it has turned out to be a TON of work. Luckily I have had quite a bit of help from some wonderful Saskatoon musicians.

We have a few dates confirmed at this point and more in the works so stay tuned for an official Sexy Mathematics tour announcement this June! On that note if anyone can help us set up a show in Montreal we will LOVE you FOREVER!!!

In addition to the exciting tour work underway I am also thrilled about our show this Friday with Magneta Lane! Come one, come all!!!

April Show-ers

April 7, 2010

This month we have two of our biggest shows lined up. First Thursday April 15 for a pre-Vivefest dance party with The Balconies and then Vivefest on Saturday April 17 with six other fantastic bands including Women from Calgary! I hope you have your tickets; Vivefest is only $20 (remember for SEVEN bands) and our show with The Balconies is $10, or catch this: $5 if you already have your Vivefest ticket. Two excuses to go to Vivefest!

Check out the event pages for way more info about the event and the bands performing:

Official Music Video for Transmissions!

March 18, 2010

It has certainly been too long. I think the number of shows we have played recently on top of life’s typical demands must have prevented me from staying in touch. Nonetheless we have some very exciting news to announce:

Official Music Video “Transmissions”
By Gabriel Akinrinmade

You may remember the music video contest we held only a short while ago and we are happy to see Gabriel’s video to be chosen for first place. Thank you very much to all of the entries!!! Your prizes are in the mail.

The observant among you may notice Gabriel is also the brilliant artist behind the cover art on our Integration EP. You should check out his blog on tumblr:

Quite interesting and often innovative, if not totally unique

January 25, 2010

It has been a pretty crazy winter day in Saskatoon but a perfect opportunity to not go outside which I always rather enjoy. See for yourself.

Which brings us to more exciting news. A new review of our Integration EP is hot off the internet press!

REVIEW of Integration EP

Offering poignant insights:

“would fit into the movie Sixteen Candles” – Scott Homewood

and a taste of harsh reality:

“Song goes on seemingly forever” – Scott Homewood

I strongly encourage you to give it a read and MOST IMPORTANTLY post some comments about your thoughts on it afterwords.

As we part ways please remember if you are in the MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST you have ONE WEEK LEFT!!! I cannot wait to see what you have in store!

Integration EP review by Snob’s Music

January 5, 2010

Someone reviewed our EP…hurray! In fact, not only did they review but it sounds like they even kind of liked it:

“In the end Integration is another strong document of a music scene that is begging hard to be noticed and appreciated.” – Snob’s Music

And then there is this gem:

“…Of Montreal…” – Snob’s Music

Needless to say we are flattered. Thanks Snob’s Music in Toronto! Check out the full review:

  3. Submit Your Entry (by Jan. 31, 2010)

Then just sit back and watch the votes start pouring in. On March 1, 2010 a winner will be announced and receive 200 cold hard, likely electronic, Canadian Dollars!
